ANNOUNCEMENT | Olympic Day 2021
Tomorrow at the stadium "RADOLINKA" on the 23rd of June 2021, the "Olympic Day" takes place, organized by the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Municipality of Teslić. The goal of the Olympic Committee is to promote the Olympic spirit throughout the cities of Bosnia and Herzegovina every year.
The day that celebrates Olympism around the world is celebrated on June 23rd every year. Olympic Day was presented in 1948 to mark the birth of the modern Olympic Games on June 23, 1984. in Paris. In addition to celebrating the Olympic Movement, the goal is to promote participation in sports around the World, regardless of age, gender or physical fitness.
Tomorrow, June 23rd, at the "RADOLINKA" stadium, "Olympic Day" will be held, organized by the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Municipality of Teslić. The goal of the Olympic Committee is to promote the Olympic spirit throughout the cities of Bosnia and Herzegovina every year. Participants will have the opportunity to try eight sports: football / soccer, handball, table tennis, archery, athletics, karate, badminton and basketball.
On this important day, the celebration of Olympism will be attended by the President of the OK BiH, Marijan Kvesić, the Japanese Ambassador to BiH, HE Ito Makoto, Minister of Family, Youth and Sports of RS Sonja Davidović and Mayor of Teslić Dr. Milan Miličević.
This day will be enhanced by top BiH athletes and Olympians who have represented BiH in major competitions in recent years:

In the last two decades, "Olympic Day" has spread Olympic ideas around the Planet. Tomorrow's event is a one-time and the first mass event for the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina after a particularly challenging period of the COVID-19 epidemic. OC BiH and the Municipality of Teslić wanted to gather young people to celebrate the Olympic Day and promote Olympic values, the leaders of the slogan of the upcoming Olympic Games #strongertogether
Inspired by the power of Olympism, the European Commission, in its intention to promote the improvement of physical activity, decided on June 23rd every year to celebrate the start of the #BEACTIVE campaign. This year as well, the Olympic Committee of BiH is celebrating the European Sports Week and will start its #BEACTIVE campaign in Teslić on the Olympic Day 2021.
