BH Olympians took part at the EYOF 2019 Opening Ceremony
NOC BIH uses the opportunity to sincerely thank all our Olympians whose role, in addition to participating in the opening ceremony, is also to be a role model for young athletes in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The magnificent Opening Ceremony of the EYOF 2019, with its presence and active participation, was enhanced by numerous celebrated former and current Bosnian athletes - Olympians.
After the Olympic Flame of Peace found its way to the Olympic Stadium Asim Ferhatović Hase, members of the Presidency of OC BiH - Siniša Kisić, Marijan Kvesić and prof. Dr. Izet Radjo accepted the torch to the delight of the 20,000 spectators present.
After that, the torch was passed to a line of BiH athletes - Olympians, who evoked memories of the Olympics in which they participated, won medals and achieved remarkable results, symbolically - from hand to hand - passed the torch to the current best athlete in Bosnia and Herzegovina - Larisa Ceric.
Larisa had the honor and privilege to light the Olympic flame again at the Asim Ferhatović Hase stadium after 35 years, a flame that has been secretly smoldering in the hearts of all Bosnians and Herzegovinians all these years.
