BiH Olympic Committee supports athletes for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and EYOF Vuokatti 2022
The Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina continues with the program of support for athletes in winter sports, which so far already exceeds the amount of 360,000 KM.
For the upcoming Winter Olympic Games, which will be held in Beijing from February 4 to February 20, 2022, OK BiH has provided support to athletes in the total amount of 25,000 USD through the Olympic Solidarity Fund, which will be awarded at the suggestion of the Ski and Luge Association of BiH. evident candidates for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics
Qualified athletes who will receive financial support for the preparations for participation in the upcoming Winter Olympics are:
Elvedina Muzaferija, Alpine skiing
Emir Lokmić, Alpine skiing
Strahinja Eric, Cross-country skiing
Sanja Kusmuk, Cross-country skiing
Mirza Nikolaev, Luge
Also, within the same program, OK BiH financially supported young athletes to prepare for participation in the upcoming Winter European Youth Olympic Festival EYOF Vuokatti 2022, with a total amount of 4,000 USD.
For the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as a non-budget user, provided significant funds through project activities, in order to adequately prepare our potential and evident Olympians, but also "young Olympic hopes" for their performances at the world's largest winter sports festivals, Europe and beyond. Financial support for athletes was provided in the form of monthly scholarships, which included funds for travel to qualifying competitions. In total, OC BiH provided scholarships to 9 athletes for 28 months, and with the additional support of 25,000 USD, set aside 360,000 KM.
In addition to these funds, funds were awarded to athletes in the form of an award for excellent sports results, including Elvedina Muzaferija in the amount of 7,000 KM.
