H.E. The Ambassador of France to BiH, Christine Toudic, presented the prestigious medal in the field of culture "Knight of the Order of Arts and Literature" at a ceremony in the French residence to the Bosnian painter Edin Numankadić.

In addition to his life vocation and commitment as an internationally renowned artist, Edin spent most of his working life in the role of director of the Museum of the XIV Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo.

Edin has worked hard for almost 4 decades to promote and preserve the most beautiful moments of our past, making sure that the memory of the Olympic heritage of BiH and the Olympic spirit continues to live in the hearts of all Bosnians and Herzegovinians. At the suggestion of the BiH Olympic Committee in 2013, Edo was also the winner of the prestigious "Pierre de Coubertin" award of the International Olympic Committee.
