At the opening ceremony of the XXIV Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, on February 4, 2022, athletes Elvedina Muzaferija (alpine skiing) and Mirza Nikolajev (luge) will have the honor of carrying the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Herzegovina to the famous Bird's Nest Stadium, where the Olympic Games return after 2008.

This is the first time that the women's and men's representatives of the national team carry the flag at the Winter Olympics, and this protocol was introduced by the International Olympic Committee at the previous Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics. Our Olympic team of 6 athletes consists of: Elvedina Muzaferija, Emir Lokmic Alić (alpine skiing), Sanja Kusmuk and Strahinja Erić (cross-country skiing) and luger Mirza Nikolajev. They will be joined by 5 coaches in the fight to win the top result for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
