With a history of 22,000 years, it is one of those cities that has never had walls around it. After the founding of the new China, Harbin quickly rebuilt and developed its national economy, and during the "First Five-Year Plan", Harbin was one of the key construction cities in the country. Thirteen of the 156 major construction projects offered by the former Soviet Union are located in Harbin, making it an important industrial base in China and quickly shifting from a consumer city to a new industrial city.

Located in the northeast of China, in the southwest of Heilongjiang Province, it is the capital of this province and represents the political, economic, and cultural centers of northeastern China. among provincial cities in China. Its historical course and geographical position have created a beautiful city, which not only merged the history and culture of ethnic minorities from the north but also integrated Chinese and foreign cultures. Harbin has a temperate continental monsoon climate, with an average annual temperature of 5.6-C, the highest average monthly temperature of 23.6-C, and the lowest average monthly temperature of -15.8-C. It has long winters and short summers, so it is also known as the "City of Ice", with an annual rainfall of 423 mm, mostly in the period July-September, with a frost-free period of 168 days.

Yabuli Ski Resort

Located 25 km southeast of Yabuli, Shangzi is the largest ski resort in China and has successfully hosted all snow events of national and international games such as the Fifth and Seventh National Winter Games, the Third Asian Winter Games, and the 24th University Games.

Ice and snow world

The park area, located on the north bank of the Songhua River, west of the Harbin-Heihe highway, near the picturesque area of ​​Harbin Sun Island, is a large ice and snow paradise that combines ice and snow animation, ice and snow performances, ice acrobatics and ice sculptural exhibitions and perfectly combines technology, art and culture. When night falls, the extraordinary world of ice and snow becomes magical and magnificent.

Among the famous sculptures made of ice are some from BiH, such as Sebilj from Baščaršija and the Old Bridge from Mostar.
