OC BIH HELD REGULAR AND ELECTORAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY

The 6th General Assembly of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina was held at the premises of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the "Recapitulation of the Activities of the OC BiH in the Mandate Period 2020-2024" and "Recapitulation of Financial Flows of the OC BiH in the Mandate Period 2020-2024" were presented and unanimously adopted.

Bearing in mind that with the adoption of the aforementioned recapitulations, the mandate period of the organs and bodies of the OC BiH for the past four years, led by the Presidency of the OC BiH consisting of Marijan Kvesić, Prof. Dr. Milanko Mučibabić and Prof. Dr. Izet Rađo, has formally ended.

A comprehensive report on the implemented projects of the BiH Olympic Committee and the participation of our best athletes in multi-sport Olympic competitions in the four-year cycle 2020-2024 was also presented.

In the past period, the BiH Olympic Committee participated in 11 competitions, with 161 athletes, and won 10 medals, the most notable of which was the silver medal won by Nedžad Husić at the European Games.

It is fascinating to note that in 4 years, the BiH Olympic Committee has designed, applied, implemented, and justified 123 projects, thus injecting 3,357,833.05 KM of non-budgetary money of the BiH Olympic Committee into the accounts of athletes, sports federations of BiH or into the BiH sports system, creating the most favorable environment for athletes and sports workers.

In this period, the BiH Olympic Committee has awarded scholarships to 63 top athletes and young hopefuls, potential Olympians.

In the 2020-2024 term, three new members were formally admitted to the membership of the BiH Olympic Committee: the BiH Curling Federation, the BiH Kickboxing Federation, and the BiH Thai Boxing Federation.

The session ended with the ceremonial act of promoting honorary members of the BiH Olympic Committee. Namely, Marijan Kvesić and Prof. Dr. Milanko Mučibabić decided not to run for a new term, and upon the proposal of the current president, Prof. Dr. Izet Radja, of the BiH Olympic Committee Executive Committee, and with the verification of the BiH Olympic Committee Assembly, they were unanimously promoted to "Honorary Presidents of the BiH Olympic Committee", which represents the first promotion of this kind in the BiH Olympic Committee. At the BiH Olympic Committee General Assembly, former president Siniša Kišić was also posthumously promoted to honorary president. This decision reflects recognition of his contribution and importance in his work, as well as the respect he gained among the members of the organization and the BiH Olympic Movement. The posthumous appointment emphasizes his role and contribution even after his death, thus preserving the memory of his personality and work.
