Sport4Rules partner meeting

In Rome, Italy, on November 15 and 16, 2021, a meeting of partners was held as part of the implementation of the Erasmus + sport project Sport4 Rules "Sharing positive values through the enhancement of the referee's role". Although in very strict COVID-19 measures, the project coordinator and host of the meeting, the Italian Volleyball Federation (FIPAV), convened a meeting of partners in Rome, because it was time for the project partners to meet and discuss completed activities and preparations for upcoming events. Among them was the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as a partner organization.

We remind you that the Sport4Rules project aims to promote positive values through improving the refereeing role and valuing referee status. The referees are the ones who control the Game and guarantee the observance of the rules and safety of the athletes. The main topics of the project are the fight against violence, racism, discrimination, and non-compliance with rules in sports.

The first work package was presented at the meeting, and recommendations for the organization of national events with a multiplier effect were proposed. These events envisage the presentation of the completed activities on the project and a one-day workshop with teachers of sports and physical education and coaches of national sports federations.

Members of the project team of OC BiH, together with other partners in the project, went through a short training on how to organize the workshop, of course with permission to make minor adaptations so that the workshop itself was aligned with the needs of participants from BiH. The workshops are planned to take place at the end of January 2022, while the BiH Olympic Committee gladly accepted to also be the organizer of the partnership meeting at the end of February 2022.

The BiH Olympic Committee will soon announce an invitation to participate in the Sport4Rules workshop, so follow our social networks for more information.
