At the European Junior Olympic Boxing Championship, which took place in Ploiesti, Romania, BIH representative Tarik Kunovac won the bronze medal.

Kunovac defeated the representative of Slovenia in the round of 16, and by winning against the representative of Croatia in the quarter-final, he won the bronze medal.

In the semi-final, Tarik boxed a match with a more experienced opponent from Albania, who still won the semi-final fight.

Emir Kunovac also made it to the quarterfinals of the Championship but was unfortunately defeated by the Czechs in an almost equal battle.
