Amel Tuka at the race "Race for the Cure"
The 17th "Race for the Cure", the largest sports event dedicated to promoting the importance of women's health in Bosnia and Herzegovina, was held in Sarajevo. This event aims to raise awareness about breast cancer, promote early detection of the disease, and raise funds for health services for women.
Although rainy weather followed the event, a large number of Sarajevo citizens responded to the call and supported this noble cause. Among the participants were numerous public figures, politicians and representatives of the diplomatic corps. With their presence, the event was magnified by the best B&H. athlete, Olympian and winner of two world medals at 800m - Amel Tuka, high representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina Christian Schmidt, mayor of Sarajevo Benjamina Karić, as well as many others.
This race is not only a sporting event, but also an important platform to raise awareness of vital issues concerning women's health, emphasizing the importance of togetherness in the fight against this vicious disease.
