Anur Mehić continues with great results

Two excellent results for our talented skier Anur Mehić, a member of the Naš Tim Ski Club and the children's national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He won a silver medal in slalom held on February 7 at the prestigious Alpecimbra Children FIS Cup, formerly known as the Trofeo Topolino. This is the first medal for men’s skiing in the history of this competition for Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is important to note that the Alpecimbra Children FIS Cup is considered the unofficial world championship for cadets in alpine skiing and has been held in Folgaria, Italy, for 64 years.

To confirm that this result was no coincidence, Anur secured a gold medal in slalom at a competition held three days ago. He took first place at the Pokal Loka competition, which has been held for 50 years in Škofja Loka, Slovenia, where Anur left the second-place competitor behind by a remarkable 1.69 seconds.

We wish this exceptional young skier all the best as he prepares for new challenges on the international skiing scene, as he will participate in the international Zagreb CHI FIS competition along with other members of the children’s national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina extends its congratulations to Anur, his coach, his club, and the Ski Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
