BIH wrestlers achieved excellent results in Skopje
From October 3 to 6, Skopje hosted the Balkan Wrestling Championships, where Bosnia and Herzegovina participated with five talented competitors. This significant sporting event brought together wrestlers from 11 countries, including Albania, Romania, Moldova, Kosovo, Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Greece and host North Macedonia.
The greatest success for the BiH national team was achieved by Smajić Affan, who won the gold medal in the U17 category. In the U20 category, Sadikaj Kasim delighted us with a bronze medal, which is also an excellent result.
Jusufović Zein had a notable performance, who won fourth place in the U15 category, as well as Brkanić Hana in the same category, and Sadikaj Jusuf in the U20 category.
The national team was supported by coaches Brkanić Bajro and Sadikaj Argon.
The Balkan Championship once again confirmed the importance of regional gatherings and competitions of athletes. BiH has shown that it has talented wrestlers who can compete with the best in the region, and these results are motivation for future challenges and excellent results.
The young wrestlers and their coaches were received on this occasion by the President of the OKBiH, Prof. Dr. Izet Rađo and the Secretary General, Dr.sci. Said Fazlagić, and rewarded them with sports equipment that will be a motive for their future achievements and a reminder of their sports successes.
