Paris, 1 August 2024 – At the invitation of the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to France, H.E. Bojana Kondić Panić, representatives of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina (OC BiH) today visited the headquarters of the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Paris, where they were hosted by the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to France, H.E. Bojana Kondić Panić and Minister-Counselor Ms. Sanja Kenig-Čorović. This important meeting marked another step in strengthening relations between sports institutions and the diplomatic missions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The delegation of the Olympic Committee was led by the President of the OC BiH, Academician Prof. Dr. Izet Rađo, together with the Vice President of the OC BiH Prof. Dr. Milanko Mučibabić and the Secretary General of the OC BiH Assoc. Prof. Dr. Said Fazlagić.

During the meeting, they discussed the current situation and results of Bosnian and Herzegovinian athletes at the Olympic Games, as well as the challenges and opportunities for the future development of sports in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Representatives of the BiH Olympic Committee emphasized the importance of institutional support for the success of athletes and expressed their gratitude to the BiH Embassy for the invitation to the reception held at the headquarters of the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

H.E. Ambassador Kondić Panić emphasized the importance of sports in promoting Bosnia and Herzegovina on the international sports scene, especially the Olympic Games, and praised the efforts of Olympians and members of the BiH Olympic Committee in representing the country in the best light. It is also important to hold such meetings that contribute to strengthening cooperation between sports and diplomatic institutions.

Representatives of the BiH Olympic Committee thanked H.E. Ambassador Kondić Panić for cheering on Lana Pudar with the BiH Olympic Team during her semi-final performance at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The meeting ended with the presentation of appropriate gifts to the diplomatic mission of Bosnia and Herzegovina in France, and this event once again confirmed the importance of cooperation and support between different sectors in order to achieve common goals and success on the international stage.
