First specialization in the field of sports law - L. Njemcevic

Our best cyclist, Lejla Njemčević, today signed a contract for the "Athlete Education Grant" from Olympic Solidarity at the premises of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo. This is an independent body of the International Olympic Committee responsible for education and investment in top athletes.

On behalf of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the president, Academician Prof. Dr. Izet Rađo, signed the grant agreement with Lejla Njemčević. The grant, valued at $10,000 USD, will enable Lejla to attend a master's program in sports law at the Institute of Sports Law in Zurich.

We are proud to support Lejla Njemčević, not only as an elite athlete but also as a person who continues to build her knowledge,” emphasized Prof. Dr. Rađo.

“This grant is an investment in the future of sport, where our champions become leaders beyond the sports fields.”

Njemčević stated that this is a unique opportunity for specialization in sports law.

“After completing the Faculty of Law, this will be the first specialization in sports law in Bosnia and Herzegovina, supported by the IOC and the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina.”

The signing of the grant with Lejla Njemčević was also attended by the General Secretary of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Said Fazlagić. The Olympic Solidarity Program is a global initiative of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) that provides support to National Olympic Committees.
