OLYMPIC DAY 2022 | STADIUM “ZGONA” LIVNO
The Olympic Day 2022 was held today in a beautiful ambiance at the Zgona Stadium in Livno in cooperation with the Taekwondo Club Magone in Livno, the Taekwondo Federation of Bosnia, and Herzegovina, and the city of Livno.
On behalf of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the President of the Olympic Committee of BiH, Prof. Dr. Milanko Mučibabić, addressed our youngest, saying: "Dear children, in addition to sports, you must be good friends and pride of your family, community, society and of course your country. So be physically active and celebrate the Olympism that nurtures your mind and builds your spirit. ”
President Prof. Dr. Mučibabić conveyed the greetings of the Presidency of the OK BiH, Vice President Mr. Marijan Kvesić, who was also present at this year's Olympic Day event, and vice president prof. dr. Izet Rađo.
The President thanked the Taekwondo Federation of BiH, Mr. Samir Šarić, President of the Taekwondo Federation of BiH, and tireless hosts Mr. August Orlović, member of the Presidency, and Mr. Vedran Ćubela, Secretary-General of the Taekwondo Federation of BiH, on the excellent organization of the Olympic Day, and of course, as before, excellent cooperation with the Olympic Committee of BiH.
It is also necessary to thank the City of Livno and the Mayor Mr. Darko Čondrić, who made it possible for Olympism to be celebrated in this city this year.
The Olympic day would not be complete without our Olympians, so this year we were joined by: Nedžad Husić, Larisa Cerić, Mesud Pezer, Elvedina Muzaferija, Mirza Nikolajev, Sanja Kusmuk, and Strahinja Erić. Our Olympians, together with the participants, ran the lap of honor, and socialized in each of the nine sports, inspiring the youngest to train hard in accordance with the Olympic values of respect, friendship, and excellence, and maybe one day become Olympians.
More than 150 children had the opportunity to try out nine sports: taekwondo, judo, basketball, handball, volleyball, kickboxing, athletics, football, and gymnastics, and receive well-deserved certificates and a gift from European Sports Week because in addition to the Olympic spirit they were truly BeActive. the same.
We sincerely hope that our youngest in Livno enjoyed the celebration of Olympism today and that they will continue to be active and join some of the many sports clubs in the city of Livno.
