Promotion of sports in the Armed Forces of BIH
On November 19, 2024, Rajlovac hosted an event that delighted soldiers and officers, while yesterday the doors of sports enthusiasm opened in Živinice. The Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been working dedicatedly on the project of employing top athletes in the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina for ten years, and the realization of this idea is now getting closer to reality.
During their visit to the military bases, BiH Olympians and top athletes Amel Tuka, Mesud Pezer, Elvedina Muzaferija, and Lejla Njemčević conveyed the spirit of Olympic values, friendship, respect, fair play, and excellence to the soldiers. The participants followed the activities with great interest, emphasizing how such meetings bring new energy to everyday military life and inspire the implementation of Olympic values and sports.
“The opportunity to meet top athletes brings not only inspiration but also strengthens the team spirit within our units,” emphasized one of the officers in Rajlovac.
The BiH Olympic Committee remains committed to the importance of promoting sports among soldiers and emphasizes the importance of synergy between sports and the Armed Forces. Projects like this represent a unique opportunity to connect communities and raise awareness of the importance of sports as a universal value.
