Promotion of the documentary film "Ligure sa Trebevića" held

In the multimedia hall of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a closed screening of the documentary film "Ligure sa Trebevića," authored by Nihad Ušanović, took place on Thursday, December 26.

The film was produced by Al Jazeera Balkans with the support of the Olympic Committee of BiH and the BiH Sledding Federation, while Triangle Studio handled the executive production.

The documentary "Ligure sa Trebevića" aims to contribute to the development of a positive media image across all social spheres regarding the need for the reconstruction of the bobsleigh and sledding track on Trebević, viewed through the lens of former prominent Bosnian Olympic athletes in bobsleigh and sledding from 1984 to the present.

The promotion was extremely emotional as it took the attendees back through a retrospective to the brightest period in the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the period of the 1984 Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo, as well as the performances of sledders and bobsledders under the flag of BiH, and the young generations who are just learning the first techniques in the sport of sledding.

The film featured legendary bobsledders and sledders such as Zdravko Stojnić, Senad Omanović, Igor Špirić, Nizar Zaćiragić, Mario Franjić, Zoran and Ognjen Sokolović, Edin Krupalija, Nihad Memeledžija, Ismar Biogradlić, Mirza Nikolajev, and young hopes of Bosnian sledding Ena Karišik, Arijan Ademović, Belma Dizdarević, and Tarik Kaknjašević.

Professor Dr. Sanela Klarić also participated in the film, providing a detailed presentation on the history of the bobsleigh track’s construction, as well as the potential for effective reconstruction. At the end of her presentation, she urged everyone present to contribute to the reconstruction of the bobsleigh track, emphasizing that it represents much more than just a sports facility.

Following the film screening, a Q&A session was held, during which the film's protagonists answered questions about the importance of reconstructing the bobsleigh track and the potential impact that decision could have in a sporting sense, both for this region and beyond.

The public release of the film will be in early January 2025 on Al Jazeera Balkans, after which the documentary will be available to the public on the YouTube platform.
