Statement by Mesud Pezer after his performance at the Paris 2024

Below is a statement from our athlete, three-time Olympian Mesud Pezer, after his performance at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games:

"I prepared myself to the maximum, both physically and mentally, for my third Olympic Games.

I had a huge desire to achieve the best result at the world's biggest sports event and to qualify for the finals, which I managed to do without any major problems at the last Olympic Games in Tokyo.

I performed all three shots almost technically perfectly, but I lacked strength in my hand when throwing. Obviously, the injury from 15 days ago took its toll, because my best result this year is almost two meters better than my throws at the Paris Olympic Games.

I would like to thank everyone who has supported me over the past four years, and who will continue to support me in the coming period and on the way to the Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

I would like to thank my family, coach, Athletics Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and a big thank you to the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who have been unreservedly supportive in this four-year cycle.

Now I am looking forward to a vacation with my family, and then we will start with strong training and preparations for the next season.

With love, Your Mesud. ❤️“

Mesude, congratulations on your performance, and good luck! #RoadToLosAngeles2024
