In cooperation with the International Olympic Committee, on October 9 and 10, 2021, the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina organized a "Technical Course for Coaches" on the basic principles of condition training of athletes.

Earlier, OC BiH recognized the values of systemic training of trainers, and based on the positive effects of education such as specific technical courses for coaches in certain sports, as well as experiences of the need to network people, decided to implement a two-day program aimed at educating professional trainers. The participants of the course were promising young coaches from various sports and throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"Technical course for coaches, whose motto is "Condition never rests, it rises or falls "gathered a total of 45 coaches from Bosnia and Herzegovina who received a certificate of participation from the International Olympic Committee. The number of participants was limited in accordance with the COVID 19 epidemiological measures, while the response of candidates and interested participants clearly shows the interest and need of the sports community for educational projects, specifically in basic areas of the training process which is an inseparable segment of success in all sports.” said the president of OC BiH Mr. Marijan Kvesić at the opening ceremony of the seminar.

"Thanks to the BiH Olympic Committee, which gathered us, coaches, from practice. I think that seminars like this not only have an educational character but also have a social note which is reflected in the networking of professionals from different sports, "said Larisa Cerić, an Olympian from Bosnia and Herzegovina and one of the course participants.

Guest of OK BiH Dušan Simonović, President of the Olympic Committee of Montenegro congratulated OK BiH on the organization, adding: “The previous two days were a fantastic experience for me, which I appreciate would be good to apply in our environment. The work of OK BiH is very familiar to me and I think they are doing great things like organizing a technical course for coaches that has just been realized. ”

During the two-day course, participants had the opportunity to listen to lectures and learn from renowned regional and domestic experts in the subject area that was the focus of the lecture. On the first day of the course, after the promotion of the book "Sacred Hoops", lectures were given by dr sci. Nikša Sviličić, Prof. Dr. Husnija Kajmović, Prof. Dr. Ekrem Čolakhodžić, Prof. Dr. Aleksandar Kukrić, Dr. sci. Nedim Čovic, and on the second day, the participants had the opportunity to hear lectures by academicians Prof. Dr. Mirsada Hukić and Prof. Dr. Safet Kape, followed by a visit to the tunnels of the pyramids in Visoko, hosted by Dr. Semir Osmanagic, who gave a lecture on the topic “Energy Recovery and Renewal”. "We were very pleased to host young coaches who had the opportunity to hear about the beneficial energies and their effects on the recovery of the body," said Dr. Osmanagic after visiting the Ravna tunnel.

The Olympic Committee of BiH will continue to implement educational projects aimed at the development of the coaching profession, as one of the key factors in improving the sports system of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
