The popular Bosnian duo Laka and Mirela and the talented Sarajevan Tarik Tanović performed the song "For a Real Squad" today. It is a song by the main EYOF mascot Groodvy

Nearly 300 friends of the European Youth Olympic Festival helped them perform the song on the ice rink of the "Juan Antonio Samaran" Olympic Hall.

Before the series of verses began, the present friends of EYOF and the media were addressed by the Mayor of Sarajevo, Abdulah Skaka.

"Dear youth, you are the most important to us today. The time has come for Vucko to hand over the key to fame and success to our dear Groodvy. It is time for us all to take responsibility for the times we live in. It is time to create new positive thoughts, let's not forget the positive thoughts that the older generations have about the Olympics in 1984. It is up to us to create new positive thoughts about EYOF in 2019. I believe that we will succeed in awakening the Olympic spirit in Sarajevo and that the very act of lighting the Olympic flame in Sarajevo will be something especially,” Skaka said.

Through reminiscences of the 1984 Olympics, Vucko handed the key to success to Groodvy. This was followed by the performance of the song "For a Real Squad".

The author of the lyrics is Adela Sabic, the author of the music is Elvir Lakovic Laka, and the arrangement was done together by Dino Sukalo and Laka.

Laka and Mirela were assisted in performing the song by Tarik Tanović, the winner of the international youth competition EuroSTAR.

We would like to remind you that the opening ceremony of EYOF will be solemnly held on February 10 at the Asim Ferhatović Hase Olympic Stadium, and everyone, especially EYOF ambassadors, is looking forward to the return of the Olympic spirit to Sarajevo and the whole of BiH.
