ANNOUNCEMENT | OPENING OF THE TENNIS COMPLEX IN "RAVNE 2" PARK

On the occasion of the official opening of the tennis complex, the future Regional Center for the preparation of top tennis players in the park "Ravne 2" in Visoko, a press conference was held today on the premises of the BiH Olympic Committee.

The press conference was attended by dr. Semir Osmanagić, director of the Foundation "Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun" and the project holder, and in front of the project's partners: president of OC BiH prof. dr Milanko Mučibabić, vice-presidents of OC BiH Prof. dr. Izet Rađo and Marijan Kvesić, president of the BiH Tennis Association Miodrag Marković, vice-presidents of the BiH Tennis Association Kemal Ademović and Ivan Brkić, and director of the BiH Tennis Association Senad Hadžimešić.

Dr. Semir Osmanagić introduced the present media to the Project and program of the Grand Opening of the complex, which was announced for Wednesday, July 13, 2022. The program starts at 10:00 a.m. at the tennis stadium, court No. 1, and ends at 8:45 p.m. In addition to the central event, the meeting and match of top tennis professionals Novak Đoković, Aljaž Bedene, Ivan Dodig, and Aldin Šetkić, the program will be enriched with cultural, musical, and gastronomic content.

Dr. Osmanagić also announced the event "NBA stars for orphans", were basketball stars Mirza Teletović, Jusuf Nurkić, and Džanan Musa confirmed their arrival. The gathering of NBA stars with the little ones is scheduled for Thursday, July 14, 2022. in the tennis complex in the park "Ravne 2".

President of OC BiH prof. Milanko Mučibabić thanked them for the trust shown to OC BiH to be a partner of this unique tennis complex. He also emphasized that the OC BiH highly appreciates this Project and supports all work on the promotion and improvement of sports and athletes, Olympic values, as well as the creation of better conditions for the training processes of athletes, as well as the organization and holding of international competitions and tournaments. Furthermore, President Mučibabić said that the arrival and participation of sports stars in tennis and basketball speaks of the importance of opening such a complex that will be available to top athletes from Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as from the region and beyond.

Prof. Mučibabić used the opportunity to once again congratulate Bosnia and Herzegovina team on the most successful Mediterranean Games "Oran 2022" so far, where Bosnia and Herzegovina won 8 medals, two gold swimmers Lana Pudar and 6 bronze karate players Nejra Sipović, Hamza Turulja and Rijad Džuho, as well as judokas Larisa Cerić, Anđela Samardžić, and Toni Miletic.

The President of the Tennis Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Marković, briefly informed about the participation of the Tennis Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a partner in the Project, and expressed great satisfaction that Bosnia and Herzegovina received a place to promote the sport of tennis and prepare top tennis players. President Marković said that the Tennis Federation of BiH will continue to provide full support to this project in accordance with the possibilities of the Federation.

And for the end, the vice president of OC BiH prof. Rađo emphasized the importance of the sustainability of such projects, and that the BiH Olympic Committee together with the BiH Tennis Association will in the future support the program content of the tennis complex in the park "Ravne 2" in Visoko.
