The Organizing Committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games (LA28) has opened applications for a new cycle of the LA28 Olympian/Paralympian Fellowship program. This is a unique opportunity for former Olympians and Paralympians with work authorization in the U.S. to become part of the team preparing for the Games in 2028.

The program was launched in 2021, and so far, 39 athletes from 16 countries and 21 sports have participated, contributing their experiences to the planning and organization of the future Games.

About the Program

The LA28 Fellowship is a paid one-year program consisting of two six-month rotations in different departments within the LA28 team. Participants work alongside experienced professionals and directly contribute to the planning and execution of the Games.

First Rotation: January – June 2026.

Second Rotation: July – December 2026.

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must be:

• Olympians or Paralympians who have retired from international competition,
• Willing to work full-time,
• In possession of a valid work permit for the U.S. and ready to live or relocate to the Los Angeles area.

Preference will be given to candidates with strong communication, analytical, and writing skills.

The program allows former athletes to leverage their experience from the Games while developing new professional skills. The goal is to keep the athlete's voice at the center of the planning and organization of the LA28 Games.

How to Apply

Interested candidates should send a CV and a cover letter explaining why they want to work on the LA28 team and what they can contribute to the organization.

Candidates should also specify five departments in which they would like to work — the list is available in the application form.
