The Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina is pleased to announce that this year's traditional event, the Selection of the Athlete of the Year, organized by the OC BiH, will be held under the high patronage of the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Dr. Denis Bećirović.

The event celebrating the greatest successes and achievements of our athletes, coaches, teams, dedicated sports workers, and individuals who make an immeasurable contribution to the promotion and advancement of sports in Bosnia and Herzegovina will take place in December of this year.

The sponsorship of the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Denis Bećirović, was agreed upon during a reception that he hosted for the BIH Olympic Team Paris 2024 and the leaders of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the reception, discussions were held regarding the sports system in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the real needs, and the necessary steps to improve conditions and create systemic programs that will have long-term positive impacts on enhancing the environment for the work and development of elite athletes, sports federations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and sports as a whole.
