Lana Pudar is the best athlete in 2022 organized by the BiH Olympic Committee

In the festive ambiance of the multimedia hall of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina and with a live TV broadcast on FACE TV, the 11th manifestation of the "Selection of the Athlete of the Year" organized by the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina was held tonight.

The selection of the athlete in 2022 was held in the presence of the most eminent persons of Bosnian sports and the sports public.

In front of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the President of the OC BiH, prof. dr. Milanko Mučibabić, who sublimated the previous events of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, pointed out: "Top athletes participated in 4 multi-sport international competitions organized by OC BiH, from which they brought 9 medals. Bh. the Olympic family is convinced that the results of the top BiH athletes would be significantly better if the state institutions responsible for sports were more actively involved in solving the systemic financing of top sports in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is an opportunity to thank the athletes, coaches, sports federations, good-hearted people, and our sponsors. Our current best swimmer, Lana Pudar, was declared the athlete of 2022.

Lana was not able to receive the award in person because she is at the World Championship in Australia, but she spoke via video: "It is a great honor and pleasure to be declared the best athlete of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2022. It's every athlete's dream. Thank you to everyone who supports me in achieving my sporting goals, and I owe a special thanks to my family and friends. Thank you!"

Behind Lana Pudar is a year to remember. European senior champion in the 200m dolphin. Double champion of the Mediterranean Games in the 100 and 200m dolphin. Mediterranean Games record holder in the 100m discipline, two-time junior champion, and vice-champion of Europe. The best-ranked junior in Europe and the second-best-ranked junior in the world, and the youngest medal winner at the senior European championship.
