ATHLETES' ONLINE FORUM ORGANIZED BY OC BIH
ORGANIZED BY OLYMPIC COMMITTEE OF BIH: Tuka, Cerić and Džumhur at the online Athletes' Forum
The online Athletes' Forum that was organized by the Olympic Committee of BiH, started today with over 40 participants, including current OC BiH scholarship holders and eminent athletes : Amel Tuka, Larisa Cerić, Damir Džumhur, Razija Mujanović, Samir Avdić, Mesud Pezer, Elvedina Muzaferija, Aleksandra Samardžić, Ivona Cavar, Tatjana Djekanovic, Emina Hadziahmetovic, Lejla Tanovic, Amina Kajtaz, Meris Muhovic, Adem Fetahovic, Hamza Alic, Mihajlo Ceprkalo, Elvedina Muzaferija, Tanja Karisik, Edin Brankovic, Emir Lokmic, Mirza Nikolajev, Marko Sljivic, Milos Colmic, Milos Colic , Strahinja Erić and Kemal Mešić.
- During the time of COVID-19, the Online Forum is one of the ways to be together, while respecting the measures imposed by the governing authorities. The forum aims to educate, activate and motivate athletes for training, exchange of experiences on how to train during a pandemic, as well as connect athletes to share their experiences and discuss common problems they face, said Izet Radjo, the President of OC BiH. He added that this forum is important for the Olympic Committee of BiH because of the messages and recommendations that this type of activity can have for the general public.
- The recommendations of our top athletes will serve as an ideal basis for discussion with the relevant ministries and international sports organizations. The forum will also serve to raise awareness of educational projects that OC BiH is implementing, with the aim to strengthen the skills of athletes for a career after an active sports career, explained Radjo.
Mirsada Hukić, a specialist in microbiology, spoke about sports and the COVID-19 pandemic. Also, Dragana Olujić, a master of sciencein nutrition, explained the trends in sports nutrition.
The participants expressed their gratitude to OC BiH for organizing the Forum. At the end our athlete Amel Tuka said that he, like other participants, gained useful knowledge after the first lecture and that he is looking forward to the continuation of the Forum, which will last until April 24, 2020.
