BIH European gold and bronze at Veteran Judo Championship 2019
Former president of OC BiH and current member of the Executive Committee of the Olympic Committee of BiH, Prof. Dr. Milanko Mučibabić won first place - a gold medal.
At the European Veteran Judo Championship which is being held in Gran Canaria - Spain from 25th to 27th July, 2019, former president of OC BiH and current member of the Executive Committee of the Olympic Committee of BiH, Prof. Dr. Milanko Mučibabić won first place - a gold medal.
On the way to the gold medal in the M8 -100kg category, he defeated the representatives of Germany, two representatives of the Czech Republic and in the final fight the representative of France Alain Leger with a gold point. Prof. Dr. Milanko Mučibabić has been demonstrating enviable master judo skills, sportsmanship and top quality at veteran competitions for many years.
By the way, Prof. Dr. Mučibabić is a prominent sports worker who has been practicing judo for half a century and in that period he won many medals. He is the holder of the black belt of the 8th DAY, multiple champion of EX-Yugoslavia and winner of European medals in '81. and '82. years. He also won the highest medals at previous world and European veteran championships: World Veteran Judo Championship Abu Dhabi 2013 - 1st place; European Veterans Judo Championship Poreč 2016 - 1st place; European Veterans Judo Championship Zagreb 2017 - 1st place; World Veteran Judo Championship Olbia 2017 - 1st place. Also at the European Veteran Judo Championship Gran Canaria 2019, Dragan Božović won a bronze medal for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the M7 -100kg category.
This prestigious European Judo Championship gathered competitors from 35 countries, and 828 competitors performed.
