Great news coming from the Handball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Weightlifting Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The World Handball Federation (IHF) has announced the nominations of referee pairs and delegates for the competition at the Olympic Games in France. The list of delegates for the Olympic Games includes Bosnian and Herzegovina's delegate Arijana Jašarević Vojić, while our referee pair at the Olympic Games will be our referees Amar and Dino Konjičanin.

For Arijana Vojić-Jašarević, this is her second time refereeing the Olympic Games. She also participated in the 2023 Women's Handball World Championship as a delegate.

For Amar and Dina Konjičanin, this is their first participation at the Olympic Games. They previously served as referees at the 2022 Men's Handball World Championship held in Hungary and Slovakia, then at the 2023 Women's Handball World Championship held in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway, and at the 2024 European Championship hosted by Germany.

For Ademir Zurapović of the Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who was selected by FIBA, this will be his second Olympic Games as a referee.

Zurapović officiated in the final of the tournament at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics three years ago, when the USA team won gold by defeating France. FIBA ​​said in a statement that the 30 referees were selected from a long list of 40 candidates. They went through an intensive and comprehensive preparation program that lasted 13 weeks. They are experienced referees who have already refereed at the men's or women's FIBA ​​Basketball World Championship, and key factors taken into account include tactical awareness, decision-making process, teamwork, cooperation, mental flexibility, and resilience.

In addition to the Handball Federation and the Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nedim Mašić from the Weightlifting Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is also participating as a referee supervisor.

The IWF (International Weightlifting Federation) has selected our international 1st class referee Nedim Mašić, who has refereed several World and European Championships, as well as the Multicontinental Games and Championships, to be the referee supervisor at the Paris Olympic Games.
