Bosnia and Herzegovina handball team defeats Greece

The handball players of Bosnia and Herzegovina achieved a significant victory in the second round of the European Championship qualifiers, defeating the Greek team with a score of 23:22. The match was played in Cazin, and the victory came after a great fight and a dramatic finale.

This is the first victory for our team in the new qualifying cycle, which has advanced us to second place in the group. We are tied with Greece with two points, but we have a better head-to-head match. Iceland currently leads with four points, while Georgia still has no points.

The triumph against Greece in Cazin could play a key role in the final standings. The two best teams from the group will earn a direct place at the European Championship, while the four best third-placed teams from the eight groups will also earn a place at the EURO.

The qualifications will continue with a two-match match against Georgia, which is scheduled for March. Greece will play against Iceland during the same period.

This victory brings additional motivation to our handball players, who are now optimistic about the continuation of the qualifications.

We congratulate our national team players, coaches, and the Handball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and wish them much success in the continuation of the qualifications!
