The President of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Prof. Dr. Izet Rađo, and the General Secretary, Dr. Sci. Said Fazlagić, received a working visit from a delegation of the Weightlifting Federation of BiH, led by Ante Madunić, the director of the national team.

During the visit, they met the Egyptian Salem Yasser, who recently acquired Bosnian citizenship and will henceforth compete for our national team. Salem is a former world junior champion (2022) and the senior champion of Africa (2023, 2024), with great ambitions for the Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

Coach Haris Durak emphasized that Salem is preparing for the upcoming European and World Championships, as well as the Mediterranean Games, where top results and medals for BiH are expected.

Additionally, the visit was also an opportunity for the young, promising weightlifter Luka Madunić, who is already showing great potential on his path toward an Olympic future!
