Erasmus+ project "OlympicKids" - introductory meeting

In Sarajevo from June 19 to 20, as part of the Erasmus+ project "Kids Running towards the Olympics - OlympicKids" co-financed by the European Commission, an introductory working meeting will be held in the premises of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The basic idea of the project is the social inclusion of children at risk in and through sports, which are one of the priorities of the European Union. Following these goals, there is a special focus on improving health through physical activity.

The Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as the organizer of this event, will give its full contribution to fostering values, quality, and goals in the next 24 months of the EU project.

Those same goals include:

  • Exchange of experiences among project partners;
  • Creation of appropriate electronic manuals;
  • Finding a solution for the unwanted emotions experienced by the children of the mentioned target group;
  • Raising awareness of EU goals and priorities;
  • Creating a cultural connection between children and international organizations;
  • Enabling children to get to know different cultures in the spirit of Olympism, etc.

In the next 24 months, the coordinator of Spor Elçilire Derneği – SPELL from Turkey, will implement the "OlympicKids" project in partnership with:

National Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina (NOC BiH) – Bosnia and Herzegovina

Centro Sportivo Italiano (CSI) - Italy

Kyttaro Enallaktikon Anazitiseon Neon (KEAN) - Greece

Community Research and Education Center (CERC) - Slovenia

Asociația Obștească Clubul Sportiv de Fotbal Feminin (NOROC) - Moldova
