European taekwondo championship Tallin 2023
Taekwondo players from Bosnia and Herzegovina had an extremely successful performance at the European Taekwondo Championship in the Olympic categories and the European Taekwondo Championship for Juniors, which was held last weekend in Tallinn. Medals were won by:
- Sara Pidro silver (European Junior Championship);
- Ada Avdagić bronze (European Championship in Olympic categories);
- Nadina Mehmedović bronze (European Championship in Olympic categories);
- Benjamin Husić bronze (European Junior Championship).
Sara Pidro won the silver medal with a great performance and victories over the representatives of Cyprus, Croatia and Spain. In the final match, she was defeated by the representative of Bulgaria, with which she won the silver medal.
Ada Avdagić won the matches against the representatives of Andorra and Germany, only to be stopped in the semi-finals by the representative of Sweden, which won the bronze medal.
In the first match, Nadina Mehmedović won against the host representative of Estonia, and in the second match she was better than the representative of Serbia. In the fight to enter the final, Nadine was defeated by the representative of Serbia, but she won the bronze medal.
Benjamin Husić was better than the representatives of Germany and Ukraine, and in the semi-final match he was defeated by the representatives of Serbia.
