Exhibition of art works in the Olympic Museum
Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sarajevo, as an Olympic city, are constantly concerned about the promotion of Olympism and Olympic values, and in this spirit, the Olympic Committee of BiH, with partners the Olympic Museum in Sarajevo and the French Embassy in BiH, launched a project called "Paris 2024 Olympics through the art creation of boys and girls from primary schools in BiH".
In addition to preparing athletes/Olympians for the Olympic Games, the Olympic Committee of BiH wants to affirm the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and to awaken the creative potential of young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In the beautiful setting of the Olympic Museum in Sarajevo, the President of the Olympic Committee, Prof. Dr. Izet Rađo, and representatives of the French Embassy in BiH welcomed the young artists, and the former Director of the Olympic Museum and President of the "Jury for Selecting the Best Art Works", Mr. Edin Numankadić, opened the exhibition and announced the winners of the three best works.
Students from grades 4 to 9 of the Primary Schools: "Sheikh Muhamed ef. Hadžijamaković” Sarajevo, “Aleksa Šantić” Sarajevo, “Vladislav Skarić” Sarajevo, “Mirsad Prnjavorac” Vogošća, “Edhem Mulabdić” Sarajevo, “Alija Nametak” Sarajevo, “Petar Petrović Njegoš” East Sarajevo, “Sveti Sava” East Sarajevo, “Zalik” Mostar and “Petra Bakule” Mostar, submitted a total of 36 artworks on the topic “Vision of the BiH Olympic Team at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games”.
The jury, consisting of president Edin Numankadić and members Suada Ramić and Eldin Hodžić, selected 3 winning works, namely: Ada Vatreš, Petar Samardžić and Anđela Talić. The awarded students received special gifts and certificates for participation. All other authors of the works also received certificates of participation in this special project for our elementary school students. The exhibition of the exhibited works will be available for the next 10 days at the Olympic Museum.
The Olympic Committee of BiH, as part of the “OCEAN” project, distributed T-shirts to all participants. The "OCEAN" project aims to raise awareness about reducing the impact of climate change and preserving the environment and protecting our only home, planet Earth.
