The Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina organized a reception for our promising tennis player Tea Kovačević and her coach. The reception was organized by the president, Prof. Dr. Izet Rađo, and the vice president, Prof. Dr. Milanko Mučibabić, who supported the efforts and results achieved so far by our Tea, and gave support for her future appearances on the world stage.

They emphasized that the future looks bright for this talented tennis player, who is on the right track to achieve great success on the world tennis scene.

At the end of 2023, young tennis player Tea Kovačević won the prestigious Little Mo tournament in the United States, confirming her status as one of the most promising athletes on the world stage. She has the highest number of titles won at TENNIS EUROPE tournaments in the U14 and U16 categories, with a total of 19 titles in singles and doubles, and she is the only player from Bosnia and Herzegovina to have won a development tournament in Turkey for two consecutive years.

This year, Tea secured five significant singles titles in the U16 category and four in the U14 category, including triumphs in Belgrade, Antalya, and Warsaw. Her greatest success so far has been winning the European Championship in Most, Czech Republic, making her the only tennis player from Bosnia and Herzegovina to become the European champion in the U14 age group. With this triumph, she earned a place in the final MASTERS MONTE CARLO tournament, marking another important step in her career.

After winning the European Championship, Tea played her first professional match at the ITF W15 tournament in Kuršumlijska Banja, where she won with a score of 2-6, 6-2, 10-8. With each new success, Tea Kovačević is getting closer to realizing her dreams, inspiring young athletes throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina and beyond.
