Karate | Great success at the World Championships

Two silvers and one bronze were brought by the representatives of our country under the age of 21.

The outstanding Bosnian-Herzegovinian karateka Anes Bostandžić, Marina Kurteš, and Emina Sipović won medals at the World Junior Championship in Venice, bringing joy to their homeland.

Anes won silver in the U21 +84 kg category, defeating representatives from Azerbaijan, Montenegro, and Jordan, but was defeated in the final by an Italian with a score of 0:2.

Marina Kurteš also secured silver in the U21 -68 kg category. Her winning streak included victories against Ireland, Venezuela, AIN -2, Egypt, and Italy, but she was defeated in the final by a French competitor with a score of 1:4.

Emina Sipović brought home a bronze medal in the U21 -61 kg category, achieving victories over the Netherlands, Colombia, and Ukraine, and in the bronze medal match, she defeated Australia with a score of 7:1.
