Lejla Njemčević raised the trophy as the winner of World Series

The best BiH cyclist Lejla Njemčević won the World Series in the cross-country marathon discipline, which consisted of four World Cup races.

Lejla received the winner's trophy after the last race in the American Snowshoe.

Njemčević collected 800 points during four races, the second place went to the German Bettina Janas, who won 520, while the Lithuanian Katazina Sosna finished in third place with 500 points.

Lejla was first in the Czech Republic, second in Italy and France, and fourth in Snowshoe.

"It's an incredible feeling to lift the biggest trophy in mountain biking and achieve our most important goal for this season. The season was incredibly exhausting, all the races were over 100 kilometers long and 6 hours of racing, but we knew that with constant good performances we could win the World Series and show that I am number one in the world. Winning the world series is a great motivation for the next season in which our goal will be to defend the title," said Njemčević, the leader in the World UCI cross-country marathon ranking list.

We send our sincere congratulations to Lejla Njemčević, her team and Bicycling Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina on this exceptional success!
