On the occasion of the opening of the 2025 European Week of Sport, a reception was held in the office of the Mayor of Cazin, Nermin Ogrešević, during which discussions took place about future projects that will contribute to strengthening sports and the sports system in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The General Secretary of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Sci. Said Fazlagić, was received by the Deputy Mayor, Mustafa Ružnić.

“I congratulate the organizers, the President of the Cazin City Sports Association, and the Sports Association of the Una-Sana Canton, Emir Dautović, on the excellent hosting. I hope we will be partners again in future projects. Sport has an incredible power to connect generations and promote true values among young people, which is also the key message of the European Week of Sport,” stated Secretary Fazlagić.

He added: “Events like this are significant because they are dedicated to promoting Olympism and Olympic values,” conveying greetings on behalf of the President of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Vice President of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Executive Committee of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the ceremonial opening of the event, Dr. Sci. Said Fazlagić also emphasized the important role of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, headed by Minister Bošnjak, who, as coordinators, actively participate in the implementation of the project. Their efforts contributed to the success of this significant sporting event.
