President of the BiH Olympic Committee prof. Ph.D. Izet Rađo and rector of the University of Mostar prof. Ph.D. sc. Zoran Tomić signed a Memorandum of Cooperation by which these two institutions created prerequisites for strengthening and improving mutual cooperation on the sports and scientific level, all with the aim of strengthening the platform for the development of athletes and the dual careers of athletes.

During the visit to the University in Mostar, in addition to the headquarters of the Rectorate, the delegation of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina also visited the Campus of the University in Mostar, where the President of the OK BiH Prof. Dr. Izet Rađo held an extremely interesting lecture on the topic of Olympic values, the organization of major sports competitions on the example of the Winter EYOF Sarajevo and East Sarajevo 2019, and the mission, vision, and results of the work of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Rector Tomić used the opportunity to present the work and achievements of the University to the delegation of the BiH Olympic Committee, the sports resources and infrastructure that the University has at its disposal, as well as ambitious plans for the future and development of this sports infrastructure.

They also discussed the potential of the City of Mostar, which is undoubtedly great, to in the near future apply for one of the major sports or Olympic competitions organized by the IOC or EOC. Such an organization of a major competition would be an additional motive for strengthening the sports infrastructure, as Mostar would get an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a multifunctional sports hall, and an athletics stadium.

The hosts of the delegation of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the President of the OC of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Prof. Dr. Izet Radja, the Vice-President of the OC of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Marijan Kvesić, and the Secretary General of the OC of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Said Fazlagić, were, in addition to the Rector Zoran Tomić were: Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Sc. Zdenko Klepić, Assistant to the Rector Prof. Dr. Sc. Tomislav Volarić, Head of the Rector's Office Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sc. Damir Vasilj, and Mr. Dario Pašić and Mr. Branislav Stojkić from the Handball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
