NOC BIH President visited the Ambassador of France to BiH
Today, the President of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, academician Prof. Dr. Izet Rađo, met with the Ambassador of France to Bosnia and Herzegovina, His Excellency Francois Delmas, for a working meeting. In a pleasant conversation, President Rađo shared impressions from the "Paris 2024" Olympic Games, noting that the organization was outstanding and that the Games were innovative, reflecting sustainable development while promoting diversity and inclusivity. The President once again praised the Bosnian-Herzegovinian Olympic team, athletes, and coaches who brought Bosnia and Herzegovina to the global event of the Olympic Games "Paris 2024."
President Rađo emphasized that during the Games, a meeting was held with leaders of the International Olympic Committee to discuss the candidacy of Sarajevo and East Sarajevo for the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) 2032. He highlighted that the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina has the support of European NOCs for hosting the Youth Olympic Games in 2032.
Since Ambassador Delmas showed great interest in the issues of elite sports in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the improvement of the sports system in the country, President Rađo acquainted him with the nine conclusions from the Round Table of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which represent an algorithm for resolving and integrating the sports system in the country.
After the meeting, President Rađo stated, “We thank His Excellency for his understanding and support. We feel that we have a friend and partner for joint action aimed at improving conditions for athletes and promoting sports as the best mediator in the integration and promotion of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
