Olympic Day Ljubuški - Kravice Waterfall
This year, the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina is organizing an event that celebrates Olympism in Bosnia and Herzegovina—**“Olympic Day 2025.”**
The spirit of Olympism will be spread near Ljubuški at the Kravice Waterfall, in late May 2025, as agreed upon today during a meeting attended by the General Secretary of the OK BiH, Dr. Said Fazlagić, the Mayor of Ljubuški, Vedran Markotić, the Chairman of the City Council, Tihomir Kvesić, and IOC Member Ivan Brkić.
The Olympic Committee of BiH has a clear goal: to promote the Olympic spirit across cities throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Olympic Day was first introduced in 1948 to commemorate the birth of the modern Olympic Games in Paris. Besides celebrating the Olympic movement, its purpose is to promote participation in sports worldwide, regardless of age, gender, or physical ability.
Olympic Day is celebrated in 206 countries worldwide under the jurisdiction of the International Olympic Committee and with the support of Olympic Solidarity.
