Congratulations to the Ski Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the excellent results of our Olympians at the Milano–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

These results did not come by chance. They are the fruit of years of work, coaches’ expertise, families’ patience and, above all, the enthusiasm of people who, often without adequate systemic support, have been building the foundations of winter sports in Bosnia and Herzegovina for years.

The Ski Association of BiH, which carries the continuity of organized skiing in our country, is one of the associations that has produced the largest number of Olympians. The Biathlon Association of BiH, in an extremely demanding discipline that combines top physical fitness and mental stability, also continuously confirms that Bosnia and Herzegovina has athletes capable of competing with the best in the world.

Under conditions of modest budgets, insufficient infrastructure and often complex institutional environment, your results carry additional weight. They are proof that talent exists, that knowledge exists and that character exists. What is missing is a stronger and more stable system that will accompany such work and develop it strategically.

Our Olympians are the best ambassadors of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Their performances on the Olympic slopes are not just sporting results — they are a message of dignity, persistence and hope.

We are proud of the coaches, clubs, volunteers and all those who stand behind these successes.

It is time for us as a society to recognize the value of such results and ensure systemic support that will enable even greater achievements in the future.
