Senior Expert Associate for Olympic Heritage, Museum and Projects
Description of jobs:
- Implements cultural and educational programs for the purpose of promotion and affirmation of the Olympic heritage;
- Writes and applies for projects in the activities of the Olympic Museum and Olympism;
- Preserves the collections and holdings of the Olympic Museum;
- Performs projections and updates of the exhibition of museum films through Olympic Solidarity projects and projects of the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, EU projects, as well as through domestic projects;
- Performs restoration of museum exhibits;
- Cooperates with the International Olympic Committee and international institutions in charge of protection and promotion of the Olympic heritage;
- Cooperates with embassies of countries accredited in Bosnia and Herzegovina that implement projects in the field of sports and culture;
- Cooperates with competent ministries and institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina;
- Cooperates with domestic and international media houses in order to promote and affirm the work of the Olympic Museum;
- Cooperates with schools and higher education institutions in order to ensure the visit of students, children and youth to the Olympic Museum;
- Cooperates in the organization of promotional events in order to gather prominent officials and athletes (Athlete of the Year, Celebrating the Jubilee of the OC BiH and the Olympic Museum, etc.);
- Takes care of the library of OC BiH, obtains the necessary literature, takes care of its use, keeps records of the same, makes a monthly list of the same, etc .;
- Makes and designs propaganda materials of the museum;
- Draws up strategic acts of the museum;
- Takes care of the status of the old museum building (Villa Mandić) and takes care of the necessary maintenance activities;
- In order to encourage and spread Olympism, organizes and manages the Olympic Academy in accordance with the Statute of the OC BiH;
- Assists in the implementation of other projects of OC BiH;
- Archives its work and submits basic documents and contracts to the General Affairs Service; - Performs other tasks ordered by the Secretary General and is responsible for performing the above tasks and work tasks.
Education: University degree
Work experience:
At least two (2) years of work experience in the same or similar jobs, or jobs that by their nature require a high degree of independence and responsibility.
Special conditions:
- To accept the Statute of the OC BiH and the Olympic Charter;
- To thoroughly know the system and operation of sports and the Olympic Movement in the country and the world;
- That he has not sinned against the norms and moral principles of Olympism and the IOC codes;
- To know the normative regulations that regulate the work of Olympic museums;
- Excellent analytical skills, ability to produce written documents and presentations;
- Knowledge of computer work;
- To fluently speak one official language of the IOC, English or French;
- Preference is given to persons who have experience in working with the IOC and the EQF
-The candidate should be on the unemployment register in the Sarajevo Canton for at least 6 months (certificate from the bureau).
Number of positions: one (1)
The right to apply have candidates who, in addition to the special conditions above, must meet the following general conditions for employment:
- that he/she is a citizen of BiH (certificate of citizenship, not older than 6 months),
-that he/she is an adult (birth certificate),
-that it is not covered by the provision of Article IX. paragraph 1 of the Constitution of BiH (certified statement not older than 3 months),
-that he/she is physically and mentally fit to perform the job for which he/she applied (medical certificate, not older than 3 (three) months)
-that no criminal proceedings have been instituted against him (certificate of no criminal proceedings, not older than 3 months) or that he has not been sentenced to imprisonment for a criminal offense committed with an intent in accordance with the criminal laws of Bosnia and Herzegovina (certificate of impunity, not older of 3 months).
The deadline is up to 8 (eight) days from the day of publication in the media.

NOTE: The interview with the selected candidates will be conducted on March 18, 2020. year in the premises of the Olympic Committee of BiH. The candidates will be in a timely manner (on the phone number that the candidate states as a contact phone)informed.
The signed application that is submitted is valid only for the specified Public Call.
Candidates are required to enclose with the application originals or certified copies of documents as stated in the general and special conditions of the Public Call.
