Sarajevo, 26.09.2024 – A reception was held today at the Embassy of France in Sarajevo in honor of the Olympic and Paralympic teams of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which participated in the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris. The reception was attended by Olympians, Paralympians, members of expert staffs, representatives of the Olympic Committee of BiH, the Paralympic Committee of BiH, and numerous guests.

The Ambassador of France to Bosnia and Herzegovina, His Excellency Francois Delmas, congratulated the athletes on their achievements and praised their effort and determination in the spirit of the Olympic values they demonstrated at the Games.

"The Bosnian-Herzegovinian team has proven that sport transcends all borders and unites people. Your dedication, discipline, and fighting spirit are an inspiration to all of us, and France is proud to have hosted the Games where you participated and represented Bosnia and Herzegovina in the best light," emphasized the ambassador. Reflecting on the exceptional cooperation between the Embassy and the Olympic and Paralympic Committees of Bosnia and Herzegovina, His Excellency Francois Delmas expressed hope that Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue its Olympic journey by organizing the Youth Olympic Games in 2032.

On behalf of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vice President Prof. Dr. Milanko Mučibabić thanked the Ambassador for the reception and support throughout the entire Olympic cycle. Vice President Prof. Dr. Mučibabić praised the exceptional organization and hospitality of the City of Paris and France during the Olympic Games, emphasizing the importance of maintaining and enhancing cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and France. "It was a special experience for us to compete at the Olympic Games in Paris. This reception is an additional confirmation that our efforts have not gone unnoticed," highlighted Prof. Dr. Milanko Mučibabić, Vice President of the OK BiH.

Also addressing those present was Sabahudin Delalić, the President of the Paralympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who, along with his gratitude to the Embassy for their cooperation and reception, reflected on the excellent results of the BH Paralympic team, which won two silver medals at the Games in Paris.

After the formal part of the reception, there was an informal gathering with a cocktail, where athletes and guests had the opportunity to share their experiences from Paris and discuss future plans and initiatives in the world of sports.
