Taekwondo "Technical Course for Coaches" successfully completed

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its members remain active. Organized by the Taekwondo Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a technical seminar for coaches in Taekwondo was held through the Olympic Solidarity program.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its members remain active. Organized by the Taekwondo Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a technical seminar for coaches in Taekwondo was held through the Olympic Solidarity program. Although the COVID-19 pandemic stopped numerous sports events and competitions, the desire for sports and education did not prevent the OC BiH and the Taekwondo Federation of BiH from finding a way to hold this seminar. Respecting the epidemiological situation and the recommendations of the authorities regarding the pandemic, the seminar was attended by 50 coaches, who listened to online lectures and improved their knowledge with practical examples. The seminar was opened by the Secretary General of the Olympic Committee of BiH, dr sci. Said Fazlagić together with the President of the Taekwondo Federation of BiH Mr. August Orlović, a member of the Executive Committee of  Taekwondo Federation of BIH Mr. Samir Šarić and the Secretary General of Taekwondo Federation of BIH Vedran Ćubel. During the two-day seminar, the coaches had the opportunity to listen to online lectures by eminent lecturers: coach and expert Dragan Jovic, sports psychologist dr Marija Pavlovic, nutritionist Monika Varga, Nebojsa Sakic, while the practical part was led by Taekwondo coach of Bosnia and Herzegovina Haris Husic. President of the Olympic Committee of BiH, prof. dr Izet Radjo, in compliance with the measures of the competent institutions, awarded certificates to the participants. He also pointed out that the Taekwondo Federation of BiH is an excellent example with its leadership and that the OC BiH will continue to support this type of projects that will have significant cumulative effects in the long run for the promotion of sports in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
