Tea Kovačević won Monte Carlo Masters U-16
Bosnian tennis player Tea Kovačević (14) has once again thrilled the tennis world, winning the final Masters U-16 in Monte Carlo. After winning the European title, the young star confirmed her status as a dominant talent, defeating older opponents on the way to another triumph.
Tea was unbeatable on her way to the final, recording three wins in the group stage. She first defeated Bulgarian Eleonora Toneva 6:2, 6:1, then defeated Croatian tennis player Nika Čakarun 6:1, 6:4, and in the semifinals, she was better than Romanian Ioane Maria Sandra 6:2, 2:6, 6:3.
The final against Belarusian tennis player Vlada Razina was a real test for Kovačević, but she showed her superiority there too. In the first set, Tea completely dominated, achieving a convincing victory with a score of 6:0. The second set brought stronger resistance from her Belarusian opponent, but Kovačević, with an outstanding game, reached the tie-break. There she again showed her talent, winning the set with a score of 7:6 (7:3) and thus concluded her performance at the highest level.
With this triumph, Tea Kovačević not only won the second most prestigious title of her career but also proved that Bosnia and Herzegovina has an incredible tennis gem. The young player, who won the European U14 Championship in the Czech Republic in September, ended the season in an impressive way, leaving many in awe.
