THE 4TH REGULAR GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE NOC BIH

The Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina on April 12, 2023, the 4th regular General Assembly of the Olympic Committee of BIH was held in the presence of delegates from 39 National Federations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, chaired by the president of the NOC BIH, prof. dr Milanko Mučibabić.

After the Report of the Supervisory Board of the NOC BIH, the delegates were presented with: the Annual Reports for the year 2022, which were presented by the President of the NOC BIH, Prof. Dr. Milanko Mučibabić. The Plan of the NOC BIH for the year 2023 was presented by the vice president of the NOC BIH Marijan Kvesić, and the financial plan for 2023 and EU projects was presented by the vice president of the NOC BIH Dr. Sci. Izet Rađo. The delegates unanimously adopted the presented reports and plans with many compliments for the activities and work of the NOC BIH.

Despite the extremely complex financial situation in which BIH elite sport exists, within the minimum budget at the state level and the grant for elite sport, all delegates expressed great satisfaction with the achieved results and realized activities of the Olympic Committee of BIH and NFs of BIH as non-budgetary organizations.

President of the NOC BIIH Prof. Dr. Milanko Mučibabić said: "I am glad that all the reports were adopted unanimously, that we met all planned activities and financial goals, and that we supported our best athletes adequately and in accordance with our capabilities and mission.

This year is also extremely demanding for the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina because we have 5 multi-sport international competitions, namely: the 3rd European Games Krakow Malopolska (Poland), Summer EYOF Maribor (Slovenia), the Mediterranean Beach Games in Heraklion (Greece) and the World Beach Games in Bali (Indonesia) and Winter EYOF in Italy that has already been completed.

It was stated that the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina is constantly continuing its campaign "Systemic financing of the elite sports of Bosnia and Herzegovina" towards the competent sports institutions and government representatives in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Given that this is a pre-Olympic year, it is necessary to help the Olympians and the BIH Olympic Committee in order for as many athletes as possible to qualify for the Olympics and to represent the country of Bosnia and Herzegovina as best as possible at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games."

The BIH Olympic Committee has increased its family by two more members. At the 4th Regular Assembly of the NOC BIH, the Kickboxing Federation of BIH and the Muay Thai Boxing Federation of BIH were accepted as members of the Olympic Committee of BIH, and the NOC now has 41 National Sports Federations of Bosnia and Herzegovina in its membership (30 Olympic and 11 non-Olympic sports). This number is increasing year by year, which is a huge compliment to the Olympic Family of BIH and the work of the Olympic Committee of BIH.
