On the premises of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on June 13, the premiere of a documentary film about girls in kickboxing was held. The film was made by students of the International University in Sarajevo from the Department of Visual Arts and Design of Visual Communications.

In cooperation with the Kickboxing Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, they made the first film about the brave, true, and best female kickboxers, who have been bringing medals from European and World championships to Bosnia and Herzegovina for years, thus breaking stereotypes about women in combat sports.

Today, women are, unfortunately, on the margins of this sport, and the biggest goal of this project was to show how mentally and physically strong women are, and how much they can make us proud even in the most difficult moments.

Filming and preparations for this film took a long time and were demanding both for the students and for our female champions, for whom this was the first time to speak publicly about the beautiful and less beautiful situations that happened in their sports careers.

The film provided an insight into the content of the training, but also how much professional athletes have to give up their private lives and dedicate themselves to sports as much as possible, if they want to succeed in it. These girls have achieved it, and have become true champions, who train without much media attention and achieve top results.

These are the girls who, performing for the BIH national team, won medals at the European and world championships, and promoted our Federation in the best possible light.

The main initiator of the project is the vice-president of the BIH Kickboxing Federation, Mr. Elvedin Dubravac, and the project mentor is Emir Hambo, head of the art department and program coordinator of Visual Arts and Design of Visual Communications.

The winning film entitled "DOSTA" was created by a group of "BoxBox" students, which included: Emina Memija, Marija Mikulić, Aida Prolić, Admir Jusić, and Ervin Golubović.

The aforementioned students whose film was selected were awarded plaques and a cash prize.
