Brkić, together with Nikola Ćaćić, defeated the Popyrin / Thompson combination after more than two hours of great tennis.

In the first set, our double won 5:7, and in the second set a lot of twists and turns and a fight that goes to a tie break where Popiryn and Thompson celebrated with 7:4 to equalize in sets at 1:1.

In the third set, Brkić and Ćaćić made a break, which in the end was enough with 3:6 and a total triumph of 1:2.

In the second round, Brkić and Ćaćić will play against the fourth carriers at Roland Garros, the Granoller / Zeballos combination.

If they celebrate in the second round, they will qualify for the round of 16, which means that for the first time in its history, Bosnia and Herzegovina would have a tennis player in the round of 16 of a Grand Slam tournament.
