Valuable donation of gymnastics equipment from Japan
At the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a reception was held on the occasion of the donation of equipment from the Gymnastics Association of Japan to the Gymnastics Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In addition to the NOC BIH representatives president of the NOC BIH, prof. Dr. Milanko Mučibabić, vice-president of the NOC BIH academician Izet Rađo and Mr. Marijan Kvesić and secretary general Doc. Dr. Said Fazlagić, H.E. Masami Kiniefuchi, Ambassador of Japan to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chisato Yoshida, First Secretary of the Embassy, and President of the Gymnastics Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Adamir Raščić, prof. Dr. Mersad Čuljević, a member of the Board of Directors of GS BIH, and Amir Mahmutović, president of the Assembly of GS BiH, were present.
The idea for the donation arose in 2021 after a meeting in the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the President of the World Gymnastics Federation, Mr. Morinari Watanabe, who recognized the necessity of investing in this basic sport in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
President of the NOC BIH Prof. Dr. Milanko Mučibabić thanked on behalf of the Olympic Family of Bosnia and Herzegovina and emphasized the importance of this valuable donation for the development of gymnastics in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
100 tons of gymnastic equipment for sports and rhythmic gymnastics were donated. Looms, parterres, horses, rings, trampolines, mats, and other devices and props are distributed in three cities of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Sarajevo, Zenica, Banja Luka), and will be of immeasurable importance and benefit for young gymnasts to improve their skills.
On this occasion, the Gymnastics Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina for their efforts and commitment to the realization of the project of donation of gymnastic equipment.
