Women4Sport | REGISTRY RESULTS PRESENTED

Today, as part of the Erasmus+ project Women4Sport, which generally promotes gender equality in leadership and decision-making in top management of National Olympic Committees in the Western Balkans by promoting structural changes in governance, improving understanding of existing cultural barriers, and encouraging NOCs to work with their federations to create sustainable change, a hybrid meeting was held.

The hybrid event, presenting the results of the register on the number of women in key positions in sports organizations, was attended by 50 representatives, representatives of Olympic committees and sports organizations.

Sports organizations play a key role in shaping sports culture and promoting equality in sports. However, in many organizations, women are underrepresented in governing bodies and in decision-making positions.

This register presents a realistic picture of the number of women in key positions in sports organizations and allows for monitoring progress in the future.

We would like to thank the Verlab Institute for creating a registry that enables Olympic Committees to work with their federations to empower women to apply for key positions in sports organizations.
